We start first by turning off the boiler, then we can shut off the valves on both sides of the magnaclean filter; isolating totally the filter from the heating system.
After that, unscrew the air vent at the top of the filter to release any pressure inside. When you start the venting process, protect
your Magnaclean with a cloth underneath to capture any drips of water that may come out.
we remove the lid with the help of a lid spanner; attached to the opposite end of the lid is a magnet covered by a plastic sleeve. You will find out that the sludge sticks to the magnet.
The lid is taken to the sink and the sleeve removed. Then the sludge can be freely cleaned off down the sink.
Add inhibitor if necessary
The Lid/magnet is then screwed back into the capsule and the isolating valves turned back on. start the boiler. Now the heating system is fully protected.
